Zakir Naik controversy: Digvijaya takes a jibe at Home Minister Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has hit back at the Government after being extensively condemned for sharing a stage with controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. Digvijaya has lashed out at Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for 'meeting' Pragya Thakur, an accused in the Mumbai bomb blast case. ABP News yesterday revealed that Zakir Naik shared the same dais with Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh in 2012 and called him a peacemaker. Ever since this revelation, Naik has been surrounded by the media. Though Digvijaya Singh has been explaining himself since yesterday, he does not seem to regret his meeting with the Islamic preacher. Instead, he chose to target Rajnath Singh over his 'meeting' with Pragya Thakur. Film star Aamir Khan also yesterday condemned Naik saying that "terrorism has no religion". Naik is reportedly in Saudi Arabia for a religious pilgrimage and would return to India on July 11. He will be addressing a press conference the next day to respond to allegations against him for which he has hired a Mumbai based PR agency.
