World Looks To India With Great Trust: PM Modi At 'JITO Connect' Ceremony, Calls On Citizens To Work For 'EARTH'

PM Modi said that India's path and destination for the future are clear. "Self-reliant India is our path and also our resolve," he added.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the inauguration ceremony of 'JITO Connect' and said that the world is looking toward India with great confidence and trust, considering the nation's development resolutions. "Today, the world is considering India's development resolutions as a means of achieving its goals. Be it solutions for global peace and prosperity or strengthening the global supply chain, the world looks to India with great trust," PM Modi stated.

He further mentioned that the country is now encouraging talent, trade, and technology as much as possible. "Today the country is registering dozens of startups every day, creating a unicorn every week... Self-reliant India is our path as well as our resolve," PM Modi added, as quoted by news agency ANI.

On the Centre's initiative of ‘vocal for local’, the Prime Minister said: "We should not be slaves to foreign goods while celebrating 75 years of Independence."
 
"The dawn of a New India unites all, everyone now thinks India is marching ahead with a purpose for universal good," he said, mentioning his three-day Europe visit which concluded on Wednesday.

PM Modi said that India's path and destination for the future are clear. "Self-reliant India is our path and also our resolve. This does not belong to any government but to 130 crore citizens. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to create every necessary environment for this," he emphasised.

The Prime Minister called on citizens to work for "EARTH".

"E means prosperity of the environment in which you should encourage investment and necessary practices. You must also discuss how you can support the efforts to make at least 75 'Amrit Sarovar' in every district by August 15 next year," he said.

"A means to make agriculture more profitable, invest more and more in natural farming, farming technology and food processing sector. R means Recycling, emphasise circular economy, work for Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. T means take technology to as many people as possible," PM Modi added.

He said that making advanced technology accessible such as drone technology should be discussed.

Lastly, he mentioned H as Healthcare, stressing that the government is doing a lot of work for the arrangements like medical colleges in every district in the country and people should think about how they can encourage necessary arrangements in their own organisations.

The Jain International Trade Organisation is a multinational organisation that connects Jains all over the world. JITO Connect is an initiative aimed at assisting the industry by offering a platform for mutual networking and personal encounters.

JITO Connect 2022, a three-day event taking place in Pune from May 6 to 8, will feature several seminars on a variety of subjects related to business and economic.
