West Bengal Fire: 12 Wounded, 50 Houses Gutted In Siliguri's Slum Blaze
Three of the injured, including a fireman and a youngster, are being treated in a hospital, while the other injured people were released after providing first aid, they claimed.
A fire that started in a slum in Siliguri, West Bengal, left at least 12 people hurt and almost 50 homes destroyed, according to officials, news agency PTI reported.

Around 8 o'clock on Saturday night, a fire broke out in Rana Bustee, ward number 18, and eight fire engines were dispatched to put it out.
According to them, the residents of the residences have been relocated to temporary shelters and are receiving food and clothing.
Subhas Sarkar, the Union Minister of State for Education, visited the area on Saturday evening while he was in the city and numerous other local political heavyweights also visited the fire scene during the day.
Akhilesh Chaturvedi, the commissioner of police, stated that the fire's origin had not yet been determined.
The flames quickly spread across the approximately 2,000-person slum as many cylinders burst inside the homes, according to the officials.
Earlier on Thursday, fire broke out at the emergency department in SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. According to reports, the fire broke out at the CT scan ward in the Emergency department in second floor. As per police, nine fire engines had reached the spot to douse the flames. The fire broke out around 10pm.
According to reports, no casualty has been reported and effort to douse the fire is currently underway.
In a similar incident, on Monday, a fire broke out in a leather godown in the Bantala Leather Complex area of Kolkata.
On October 13, a fire broke out at the studio of a production house in the Kudghat area of South Kolkata. A similar incident was reported from Howrah after a fire broke out in a garage on October 4.
