BJP Accuses 'TMC Goons' Of Vandalising Samman Yatra Bus While CM Mamata Levels Allegations Against HM Shah

BJP national president JP Nadda has reacted to the incident of vandalism while CM Mamata Banerjee has accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of "hatching a conspiracy" to harass TMC leaders.

Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party's national president JP Nadda and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar have reacted to the incident of vandalism that occurred earlier today as a bus of Sindhu Kanu Samman Yatra was damaged in Purulia district.

Unidentified people vandalised BJP's Sindhu Kanu Samman Yatra bus in Purulia district’s Manbazar, earlier on Tuesday. The BJP has accused Trinamool Congress of the act.

BJP Chief JP Nadda was speaking to news agency ANI when he shared his reaction saying, “BJP had decided to start two 'Ambedkar yatras' from Kotulpur and Kakdwip... I had inaugurated the yatra from Kotulpur but the yatra that was scheduled to start from Kakdwip was vandalised by TMC goons, they tried to stop it. BJP condemns the act”.

"BJP knows that TMC realises they are facing defeat in the upcoming polls and they are doing this in a state of panic. I condemn this," he added.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar also shared a similar opinion over the vandalism as he said: “They (TMC) have realized they are going to lose so they are resorting to such actions. We want Election Commission to look into it. Mamata Banerjee is responsible for everything that is happening in West Bengal, as everything is done with her approval”.

"Amit Shah is frustrated as his rallies have registered poor turnout. Instead of running the country, he is sitting in Kolkata and hatching conspiracies to harass TMC leaders. What do they want? Do they want to kill me? Do they think they can win elections by killing me? If they think so, they are wrong," she said.

"They are booking all hotels. They are planning to frame cases against TMC candidates, send CBI, ED teams to harass political rivals? They are sending notices to those behind the Nandigram land movement. Bankura and Bengal should show others the way to defeat these dictators," she alleged.

CM Mamata has threatened to stage a protest outside the Election Commission if the BJP doesn’t stop interfering with TMC’s functioning.
