'We Need Generation Of Peace,' Says Rahul Gandhi As PM Modi Pays Tributes To Jawaharlal Nehru On His Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Modi tweeted a one-line tribute to wish Pandit Nehru. He wrote, “Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his birth anniversary."

India is celebrating the 132nd birth anniversary of its first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Pandit Nehru was born on 14 November 1889 in Allahabad (Today's Prayagraj) in British India. 

Prime Minister Modi tweeted a one-line tribute to wish Pandit Nehru. He wrote, “Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his birth anniversary."

Apart from these leaders, India'svice-president, Venkaiah Naidu tweeted in Hindi: "On the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, I salute your contribution in the freedom movement and nation building."
