WATCH: Man garlands BJP MLA with shoes in public rally; gets thrashed by supporters

New Delhi: Much to the shock of BJP MLA and Madhya Pradesh assembly election candidate Dilip Singh Shekhawat , an unidentified person garlanded him with shoes in an unexpected turn of events during his public rally in Madhya Pradesh. Shekhawat who is contesting the upcoming assembly polls in the state from BJP, was heading a public rally in Nagada, when all of sudden a man from the crowd approached him on the pretext of greeting him and before he could anticipate anything, the man put a garland made of shoes around his neck in a spur-of-the-moment act. Following this, the supporters of the BJP leader started thrashing the man. The identity of the man has not yet been ascertained. News agency ANI tweeted the video in which an unsuspecting Shekhawat can be seen happily greeting the man but then immediately throwing off the garland on realizing it is made of shoes.
