VIRAL SACH: Akhilesh Yadav 'damaged' government bungalow before leaving?
The BJP had accused Akhilesh of damaging the property “out of frustration”.
NEW DELHI: Viral images are circulating on social media sites where it is claimed that former CM Akhilesh Singh damaged the government bungalow which was vacated by him.
Akhilesh Yadav had handed over the keys to the Estates Department on Friday evening. The BJP accused Akhilesh of damaging the property “out of frustration”.
The Governor and many people on social media sites said that the bungalows of former Chief Ministers were renovated and were being maintained by the tax-payers’ money and causing any destruction to the government property was a serious offence.
To the controversy, UP’s Governor Ram Naik said “It is a very serious matter and action should be initiated as per law”.
Following the Supreme Court order, the UP estates department had issued notices to six former chief ministers - Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Kalyan Singh, Mayawati, Rajnath Singh and Akhilesh Yadav.
