VHP Slams Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav For Silence Over Hate Speech Against Hindus: 'Giving Cover Fire To Jihadis'

VHP on Tuesday warned the 'jihadists' by releasing a list of more than 300 incidents of attacks on Hindus between January 2023 and Chhath Puja 2024, stressing that Hindus are united now.

Vishva Hindu Parishad Joint General Secretary Surendra Jain on Tuesday hit out at Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Sharad Pawar, saying that they are supporting 'jihadis' by remaining silent when hate speeches are delivered against Hindus in India. VHP also warned 'Jihadists' by releasing a list of over 300 attacks carried out by them on Hindus between January 2023 and Chhath Puja 2024.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Jain: "It is often said that there is Islamophobia in the entire world but in reality, it is not Islamophobia, the world is suffering from Islam. Jihadis are influenced by ‘Kafirophobia’...The 'Jihadi' mentality has to be defeated...Surprisingly, leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar who represent secular sections of the society are not only silent but are giving them (jihadis) cover fire".

"They want to create a situation like 1986... Today Hindus are united and capable of responding to every challenge while staying within constitutional limits," he added.

Referring to the hate speeches against Hindus, he said that the world is not suffering from Islamophobia, but "Kafirophobia". In an apparent reference to Islamic preacher Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan and AIMIM leader Owaisi, he said that the statements given by them reflects their "jihadi mindset".

Earlier this year, Tauqeer Raza had reportedly said during an event that one day when Muslim youths take law into their hands, Hindus won't find a place to hide anywhere.

"Warning the so-called secular and Musalmeen (pro Jihadi) parties and leaders of Bharat, he said that in the greed for power, they have been inflaming and egging on these Jihadis and fuelling their bloodthirsty proclivities and triggering them off to take the country towards civil war whereas Jihadis need to be taught a lesson of their life, not given covering fire," a statement released by the VHP read.

Jain also stressed that the legal team of the VHP was studying these threats and finding out if legal action can be initiated against people who deliver hate speeches. He stressed that people found guilty will not be allowed to escape action.

The VHP Joint General Secretary underscored that it was not the year of 1946 when thousands lost their lives in riots on Direct Action Day in Calcutta over Muslims' demand for seaparate state, and that Hindus are united now and can tackle challenges within constitutional limits.

The statement further read that the threats of killing by Maulanas and Muslim clerics and leaders in India are being given "in accordance with Jihadi mindset and mandate". "Similar threats were being given in 1946. Do these Maulanas and Muslim clerics and leaders mean to repeat the 'Direct Action Day' massacre in Bharat? They should remember that this is not 1947. Today Hindus are awakened and united. They can respond to every challenge by staying within the constitutional limits."
