Uttar Pradesh: 4 Killed, 2 Injured After Cooking Gas Cylinder Explodes in Loni, CM Yogi Expresses Grief
Loni LPG Cylinder Blast: Four members of a family were killed and two were injured after an LPG cylinder exploded at their home in Loni.
Four members of a family were killed and two were injured after a Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder exploded at their home in Uttar Pradesh's Loni on Wednesday. The gas explosion occurred in Loni's Babul garden colony. The impact was so powerful that the house's walls and linter became debris, burying the six people inside. According to the news agency PTI, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences for the deaths and directed officials to ensure that those injured received adequate care.
It further came to light that a person named Muneer and his family members were staying in the building, police said, reported news agency ANI. The deceased are identified as 10-month-old Inayat, Saniya (15), Shabnoor (21) and Rukaiya (24).

Meerut Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar stated, "leakage in the cylinder pipe led to the blast, which took place at around 11 am when food was being prepared at the house in Babloo Garden Colony," PTI reported.
The firefighting team brought all of them out using an excavator and rushed them to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where the doctors declared four of them dead. The two others are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Loni, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Iraj Raja told PTI.
Earlier this week on Monday, a similar kind of incident happened in Lucknow, where one person was killed and five members of his family, including an eight-year-old boy, were severely burned after a cooking gas cylinder exploded at their home, ANI reported.
Meanwhile, four people were killed and three were injured in a cylinder explosion during a wedding ceremony in the Jalalabad area of Punjab's Fazilka district in July of this year.
