Most of the Aadhaar cards which have been found belong to the people belonging to Ballia village.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, hundreds of Adhaar cards were found in Bareilly’s Subhash Nagar police station constituency’s Bandayu road. The police were baffled as soon as the matter came to light. The police are now trying to probe, how the Aadhaar cards reached there and if they are fake or duplicate. The matter becomes serious as the cards could be misused in several ways if they are fake. The cops have seized the cards and have begun their investigation. The Aadhaar cards were found only footsteps away from police station located close to Ram Ganga River, creating a fear of fraud inside the police; as several fraud cases pertaining to Aadhaar have surfaced in the past. Most of the Aadhaar cards which have been found belong to the people belonging to Ballia village. This incident comes after wheat scam shook Bareilly, where an Adhaar was used 1299 times. The matter came to light on Sunday evening, when people handed over the Adhaar cards to the police after they found them scattered on river bank.
