New Delhi: As India is preparing for the opening of malls, restaurants, and religious places from tomorrow, Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal announced in a press conference that inter-state movement will be allowed in Delhi. He said, “We are opening Delhi borders from tomorrow". The government will also withdraw the 70% extra tax on liquor, dubbed as “special corona fees” from June 10, he added. The Chief Minister also asked people to keep following social distancing and other norms even during relaxations. “Relaxations do not mean that coronavirus disease has ended,” Kejriwal said at a press conference. “You are not doing anyone a favour by wearing a mask, it’s for your own safety. I am still getting reports that people are going out without masks,” he added. He said that as the country is heading towards more relaxations the older people need to be more careful. If possible, the senior citizens should remain inside their rooms with the least interactions. Meanwhile, India’s coronavirus tally rose to 2,46,628 on Sunday morning after 9,971 cases were reported in 24 hours. This is the country’s highest single-day rise yet.
