Udhayanidhi Stalin Not Second But Third Rank In TN Govt: Know Full List Of Cabinet Ministers

Tamil Nadu's cabinet, which includes 35 ministers, now sees KN Nehru, Minister for Municipal Administration, and I Periyasamy, Minister for Rural Development, rounding out the top five.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has been officially designated as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, according to a government order issued on September 29, 2024. However, he is now ranked third in the cabinet under Chief Minister M.K. Stalin as against the expected second rank in Tamil Nadu government. Prior to his new role, Udhayanidhi held the 10th position in the council of ministers.

The inter-se seniority list places CM Stalin in the first position, followed by veteran leader Duraimurugan in the second. Udhayanidhi, having previously served as the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, will continue to oversee these portfolios along with new responsibilities, such as Special Programme Implementation, Poverty Alleviation, and Rural Indebtedness.
