Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off nine Vande Bharat Express trains, boosting connectivity across 11 states. During the inauguration event, PM Modi said the "day is not far when Vande Bharat will connect every part of the country".
With these nine trains, the total number of Vande Bharat trains has increased to 34 in the country. Among the trains flagged off is the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express in Rajasthan. This is the third semi-high speed train flagged off in the state.
This train will have eight coaches and two types of seating arrangements -- AC chair car (CC), and executive chair car (EC).

Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express
The Udaipur–Jaipur Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, except on Tuesday. Train number 20979 will leave from Udaipur at 7:50 AM and reach Jaipur at 02:05 PM. It will cover a distance of 434 KM in 7 hours and 15 minutes and have seven stoppages. The fare for the Udaipur–Jaipur route is Rs 1,330 for AC Chair Car and Rs 2,350 for Executive Chair Car.

Jaipur-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express
The return train 20980 will depart Jaipur at 03:45 PM and reach Udaipur at 10:00 PM. The train will halt at Ranapratapnagar, Mavli Junction, Chittaugarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Ajmer JN and Kishangarh. From Jaipur, the train fare is Rs 1,275 for the Chair Car and Rs 2,300 for the Executive Chair Car.
