Two train stations in Punjab's city of Pathankot have been place on high alert after intelligence inputs were received about possible explosions being orchestrated by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

Pathankot: Two train stations in Pathankot have been place on high alert after intelligence inputs were received about possible explosions being orchestrated by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has issued a letter asking residents in Pathankot to stay alert and vigilant after authorities received a threat letter by terrorists saying they would target the railway stations. Officials have ordered to increase the security in the region and intensify inspections at the stations. The public has also been asked to inform authorities if they come across any suspicious substance lying unattended anywhere. The Railways issued an advisory to the Pathankot Cantonment station and Pathankot Junction station on Sunday. The GRP has asked the staff at the stations to conduct detailed inspections in parking areas and places where people assemble.
