'Badla le liya': Twitter explodes as India rout Pakistan in Women's WC

NEW DELHI: As India beat Pakistan by 95 runs in their ICC Women's World Cup match, Twitter exploded with joy as fans termed this victory over arch-rivals as the revenge of India's Champions Trophy's final loss. Riding on left arm spinner Ekta Bisht's 5 for 18, India bundled Pakistan on 74 in 38.1 overs. Electing to bat, Indian batters posted 169 for 9 in their third round robin match. Opener Poonam Raut (48) consumed 72 balls while Deepti Sharma fared no better playing 63 balls for a sedate 28. It was keeper Sushma Verma (33 off 35 balls), who used the long handle to get the team near 170-run mark. What looked like a sub-par score turned out to be a challenging one for Pakistani batters, who have never successfully chased more than 134 in a 50-over World Cup game. India now have six points from three games and are at the top of the table. Here's how Twitter celebrated India's victory
