Triple murder rocks UP town, agitated mob attacks police

The police teams had to resort to tear gas shelling and cane charging to disperse them to take possession of the bodies. Several media persons were also injured in the clash.

Lucknow: In yet another shocking incident, three members of a family were killed and several injured when dacoits attacked a house in Kasganj district in Uttar Pradesh. The incident has raised questions on the safety of the people under Yogi rule. The incident took place around midnight, when the dacoits barged into the house, thrashed a couple and their mother to death. Thereafter, they ran away with the valuables. The incident was followed by agitation by the villagers, who angered by the incident, disrupted traffic on a major roads and pelted stones at the police on Friday. The police teams had to resort to tear gas shelling and cane charging to disperse them to take possession of the bodies. Several media persons were also injured in the clash. As per the police officials, few of the family members were battling for their lives at a hospital, who rushed to the crime scene to pacify the angry villagers.
