Trainer Aircraft Crashes At Guna Airstrip In MP, Pilot Injured, Aviation Minister Calls It 'Concerning'

New Delhi: A trainee aircraft crashed in Madhya Pradesh's Guna airstrip on Wednesday evening after it developed a malfunction. The aircraft was flying from Neemuch to Dhana, police said.

"After developing a malfunction, a trainer aircraft flying from Neemuch to Dhana (in Sagar district) made an emergency landing, during which the pilot lost control. The trainee pilot sustained injuries and has been hospitalised," Sub-Inspector Chanchal Tiwari of the Guna Police was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Cantonment police station in-charge Chanchal Tiwari said that the aircraft, which suffered a technical snag, skidded off the runway while making an emergency landing at the Guna airstrip, and veered into nearby bushes.
Visuals of the crash shared on social media platforms showed the mangled wreckage of the crashed aircraft.
