TikTok Ban Turns Into Hilarious Meme Fest On Twitter; Check Amazing Reactions Here

After the ban on Tik Tok Twitter is flooded with memes under the hashtag #Riptiktok celebrating the end of the app and its stars.

New Delhi: The hashtag #RIPTikTok is trending on Twitter since the ban of the 59 Chinese Apps which was announced on Monday. The ban was enforced keeping in mind national security. When the tensions between India and China started Sonam Wangchuk was the first to urge Indians to boycott Chinese products. ALSO READ| TikTok Denies Sharing Indian Users' Data With China; App Disappears From Google Play, Apple Store The Ministry of Information and Technology issued a notification giving instructions to Internet service providers to block these apps. Users of these apps will see a message that these apps have been restricted as per government orders. To curb the further downloads of these apps, they will be taken down from Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. TikTok issue an official statement that it will be complying with the orders by the Government of India. The statement also said that it has not been sharing any personal information with any third party including the Chinese Government and will not do so in the future. Of course, Twitteratis had their take on the matter. Many welcome the decision and social media is flooded with hilarious memes celebrating the end of Tik Tok. Still, others have said they this can lead to a rise in the unemployment rate. Many TikTokers like Arpit Ranka said they stand with the government’s decision and urged their followers to delete the app. He has now started a Youtube channel.

Still others have said that it might lead to a rise in unemployment. According to a new report by Indian Express, there are many Indian replacements for Tit Tok available like Chingaria, Bolo Indya, Roposo among others. Commenting on banning TikTok app in India Sumit Ghosh, Co-Founder, and Chief Product Officer, Chinagri App said, “This is a very good step taken by the Govt of India and the IT Ministry of India, For a very long time Tik Tok has been spying on users and sending back the data to china. We are happy that this step has been finally taken. I thank and congratulate Narendra Modi sir. And we assure we would like to welcome all the users of TikTok to come and try our Chingari, which is a 100% India made app and made for the passionate Indians.”
