Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Home Minister Amit Shah Meets Singer's Family In Chandigarh
Family members of the murdered Punjabi singer have written to the Centre seeking a probe by central agencies into the incident.
New Delhi: Union Home minister Amit Shah Saturday met the family members of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. As per ANI, the meeting took place at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Chandigarh.
The minister is in the city to inaugurate Khelo India Games, where he will also chair a meeting of the Punjab BJP leaders and address them.
According to news agency PTI, Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Thursday had said that the the family members of the murdered Punjabi singer have written to the Centre seeking a probe by central agencies into the incident.

Earlier on Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Sidhu Moose Wala's home in Mansa and assured the family members of swift and strict action in the case. He also hit out at opposition parties for "playing politics" over the singer's death.
On May 29, the Punjabi singer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann removed security cover of 412 VVIPs
The video footage that surfaced showed the singer's car sprayed with bullets, with a number of them piercing the windscreen and the bonnet.
