'Show concern towards familes of martyrs': Watch Akshay Kumar's powerful video message

New Delhi: Actor Akshay Kumar has urged people to show concern towards the families of Indians soldiers. He hit out at politicians and people who are constantly insisting for a proof of surgical strike by the Army across the LoC and ones demanding a ban on Pakistani artists. Kumar said rather than worrying about these issues; one should be more worried about the future of the families of the soldiers who laid their lives fighting for the country. He also said that the families of the martyrs currently are not concerned about the release of a Bollywood movie. “19 jawans were killed in Uri. 24-year-old soldier Nitin Yadav died in Baramulla. Are the families of these soldiers worried about whether a film would be released or an artist would be banned or not? All that they are thinking about now is their future and our concern is their present and future welfare. India and all of us exist because they are there,’ he said in a video message on Facebook. Akshay recently issued cheques of Rs 5-10 lakhs for each of the martyr's families killed in Uri. "A medal or an award is good but not enough. More needs to be done for them and their families. They need money too," he had said. Watch the full video below:
