Ruckus in RS over Modi's absence, opposition demands PM's apology

New Delhi: With the ongoing outrage over the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes by the central government, the opposition on Friday protested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised slogans seeking his presence in the Rajya Sabha.
  • The parties demanded that the Prime Minister must come forth and make statement on the issue. The demand for PM’s presence in the house has been going on from day -1 of the parliament session

  • BSP Supremo Mayawati on Friday lashed out at PM Modi and said, “Government claims to have done proper planning for over a period of ten months before demonetisation, the why weren’t the loopholes fixed?”

  • Listening to the opposition’s demand PM Modi on Thursday, attended the parliament session, but he didn’t make any statement, in spite of continuous demand from the opposition

    • SC to hear all petitions including the transfer petition filed by GoI over demonetisation on December 2
