RJD Foundation Day: 'Lalu Not Just A Name, He's An Idea That Cannot Be Imprisoned,' Says Tejashwi Yadav

During RJD's 25th Foundation Day program, many leaders including Tej Pratap, Jagdanand Singh, and more gave speeches. Tejashwi Yadav shared father Lalu's vision.

Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav inaugurated his party's 25th foundation day program virtually on Monday. During the day-long program, Lalu Prasad Yadav addressed the party workers virtually for the first time after nearly three and a half years.

He mentioned that they were celebrating the important day under odd circumstances. "I congratulate everyone on this occasion. I will be among you all very soon." Lalu said that he regrets not being among the people on the special occasion.

After inaugurating the program, he remembered Ram Vilas Paswan. Speaking about him, he said, “We both have worked together. We both have fought too."

Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in Bihar, also gave a speech. He began by congratulating all the office bearers associated with the party and all the people who had joined them. He remembered Ram Vilas Paswan and extended condolences to the family. He spoke about Raghuvansh Prasad as well. He said that Raghuvansh Prasad passed away before the elections. He spoke about many others including Shahabuddin.

Tejashwi Yadav said that everyone knew how the party was formed. Jagdanand Singh said that the history of the party goes beyond 25 years.

He said Lalu Yadav was not with him in the 2020 assembly elections, and people noticed it. He mentioned that gradually people came to know that Lalu was not just a name but an idea that cannot be imprisoned.

He said as a child, Tej Pratap Yadav used to be at the forefront of Sadbhavna chariot chanting slogans with his father. He said," I have been loved by everyone. Forgive me if I have made any mistake."

Tejashwi said that every section voted for RJD in the 2020 elections. He said that Lalu Yadav has never bowed down, nor will Tejashwi bow down.

Lalu Yadav will soon come to Bihar and the party formed by Lalu and will not break.

Targeting Nitish Kumar, he said that amount of crime has increased to a great extent. He said no work gets done in Bihar without bribing and those who raise their voice against injustice get beaten up. CM Nitish Kumar did not hold review meetings in Corona, Nitish Kumar used to ask for alms.

Later, Lalu Yadav's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav wished all the people present in the program. He said that when the party was founded, he was very young and was not aware of what a party or an organization meant. He said that his father started with student politics.

"We have adopted father's ideology. I used to sit along with my father in Patna's BN College. The organisation is like an ocean. My father is a good orator and people love listening to his speeches. I too am like my father," he added. Regarding the health system in Bihar, he said that the situation has worsened in DMCH of Darbhanga.

RJD chief spokesperson Manoj Kumar Jha was the first to congratulate the others present on the stage. He said that 25 years is not a very long period, but the team has done a lot in a short span of time. "During the period of the Coronavirus pandemic, RJD fared well as compared to other teams," he added.

RJD national general secretary Shyam Rajak said that Lalu intended to be the voice of the poor, and this led to the formation of the party. Thanking the workers, he said that some elements worked against the party, but the dedicated party workers dealt with the difficulties and worked hard for the betterment of the party. He assured that the party will fulfill the ideas for which it was formed.

Lalu Yadav inaugurated the program virtually from his elder daughter Misa Bharti's house in Delhi by lighting the lamp. Apart from his elder daughter, his wife Rabri Devi was also present with him. In Patna, RJD workers and others watched the broadcast at the party office.

The first cultural program of RJD's 25th Foundation Day program was organized. Tejashwi Yadav, Shivanand Tiwari, Manoj Kumar Jha, Dr. Kanti Singh, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, Shyam Rajak were present at the program.
