Rakesh Tikait Supports UP Population Control Bill, Says Should Be Implemented Nationally

BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said that he favors the population policy and added that it should be implemented at the national level.

Pilibhit: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has supported the population policy of the Yogi government. He said that the population policy should be implemented at the national level. Rakesh Tikait arrived in Pilibhit on Thursday to participate in a private program.

Tikait said that he favors the population policy and added that it should be implemented at the national level.

Rakesh Tikait said that as the population is increasing, the law should be implemented properly. He added the law should not be used as a gimmick during elections.

He added that the movement will go on till the farm laws are not withdrawn.
Rakesh Tikait clearly said that till the government does not withdraw the agrarian laws, farmers' agitation will continue. He informed that there will be a Panchayat on September 5 wherein the United Front will decide about the agitation, and the government can decide its course of action in the meantime.

Tikait also spoke on assembly elections.
He said that he is not aware of whom the public will vote for in the assembly elections. There are leaders and organisations of the opposition, should delegate their responsibilities as the Parliament session is about to start. Tikait indicated that the opposition should take up these issues. He said that farmers are watchful of opposition performing its duty.
