Rakesh Tikait Lays These Conditions To End Farmer Movement, Know What He Said

Exclusive: In a exclusive interview with ABP News, BKU National Spokesperson Rakesh Tikait agreed to talk to the government, provided they listen to their demands.

Exclusive: On Friday, Prime Minister Modi announced a major governmental decision of withdrawal of the three new agricultural laws. A wave of celebration swept among agitating farmers as soon as the decision to repeal farm laws was announced by PM Narendra Modi.

However, the farmer leaders still do not seem to be in the mood to end the movement. Leaders of farmer organisations are brainstorming to chalk out a strategy to introspect all aspects of the decision and also get all of their other demands approved.

Meanwhile, Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union and one of the prominent faces of the movement, told ABP News that we want to have a discussion with the government first. "The government should talk to the farmers.", he said.

Lays down these conditions to end agitation:

Reacting to the return of agricultural laws, Rakesh Tikait said, "The government should take forward the dialogue with the farmers. The government should constitute a committee to discuss all these issues in detail."

Rakesh Tikait said, "We demand that the assured law be enacted on MSP. We would end our dharna as soon as the law in enacted."

"We also want all cases registered during this protest be taken back and also proper investigation for all deaths during this protest."

Wants all farmer related issues to be solved

He also took a jibe at Kangana Ranaut by saying, "Abusive people are nowadays getting Padma Shri awards in India. These people have a really sick mentality and we should not waste our time commenting on people with a sick mentality." "The government should listen to all the problems Farmers are facing and work on solving them.", said Rakesh Tikait.
