Rajnath Singh Speaks With UK Counterpart, Discusses Indo-Pacific, Defence Industrial Cooperation

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke with UK Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace on Tuesday to discuss the growth of the bilateral defence ties between the two nations. The two discussed a wide range of defence and security issues, including regional developments and the Indo-Pacific.
"It was a pleasure to speak with the UK Secretary of State for Defence, Mr. Ben Wallace. The conversation was cordial, positive and focused on future growth of the bilateral defence relationship," he tweeted.
The ministers briefly reviewed the defence cooperation between the two nations and expressed their satisfaction with the bilateral military engagements. Singh and Wallace also talked of ways to enhance the defence industrial relationship between India and England and identified potential areas of cooperation.
"We reviewed the ongoing defence cooperation and expressed satisfaction over the bilateral military-to-military engagements. Discussed a wide range of defence and security issues in our conversation including regional developments and the Indo-Pacific," Singh said.
Singh invited British companies to become part of India’s growth by participating in co-development and co-production in India. "We also discussed ways to enhance defence industrial cooperation and identified potential areas of cooperation. Also suggested that UK companies should become part of the India Growth Story and participate in co-development and co-production in India," Singh said.
