PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi, and several leaders paid tribute to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

Rajiv Gandhi Birth Anniversary: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Congress leaders including Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Tributes to our former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi Ji on his birth anniversary." Rajiv Gandhi was India's youngest prime minister. He held office from 1984 to 1989. He was assassinated in 1991.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid floral tribute to his father Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary at Veer Bhumi in Delhi.

In a post on X, the former Congress chief said, "A compassionate personality, an epitome of camaraderie and goodwill…Papa, your teachings are my inspiration, and your dreams for India are my own - I will fulfil them, taking your memories with me."

Besides Rahul Gandhi, several other senior Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, and party MP KC Venugopal, paid floral tribute to Rajiv Gandhi at the Central Hall of the Samvidhan Sadan (Old Parliament).

Congress leader Sachin Pilot also paid floral tribute to the former prime minister at Veer Bhumi.
