'Why Should Women Suffer In Silence?': Rajasthan CM Gehlot Announces Free Sanitary Pads For Women

Free sanitary pads will be provided to women every month by Rajasthan government, announced Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday announced that his government will provide 12 saniatry napkins to every woman in the state every month as a way to manage their menstrual cycles, reported news agency ANI. 

"Why should women suffer in silence during their mensuration cycle. Hesitation around it should be left behind. Under the public interest, we will provide 12 sanitary napkins to every woman, every month," said CM Gehlot in Sawai Madhopur.
