Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018: Eligible persons can enrol names into voters' list till Nov 19 says Raj CEO

Rajasthan Assembly Election: Those who were 18 years of age as on January 1, 2018 could get their names added to the voters' list by the stipulated deadline, which is also the last date of filing nomination for the upcoming assembly election in the state, said Kumar, after chairing an assembly election review meeting via video conferencing.

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Anand Kumar Tuesday said eligible voters can get their names enrolled in the voters' list till November 19. Those who were 18 years of age as on January 1, 2018 could get their names added to the voters' list by the stipulated deadline, which is also the last date of filing nomination for the upcoming assembly election in the state, said Kumar, after chairing an assembly election review meeting via video conferencing. He directed officials to not delete names from electoral rolls after the elections dates were announced in the state and asked for the timely distribution of photo voter identity cards to all eligible voters. Kumar said it should be ensured that all polling booths have basic facilities, including drinking water, electricity connection, ramp and sheds for facilitating voters. He stressed that more facilities should be provided for differently-abled persons.
