Earlier in August, Rahul Gandhi went on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi arrived in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir on a two-day visit on August 9 last month.

The August 2021 vist was Rahul Gandhi's first appearance in Srinagar after the abrogation of Article 370 and removal of Jammu and Kashmir's special status.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi had arrived in Srinagar with an opposition delegation to take stock of the situation two weeks after the historical decision regarding article 370 in August 2019. The administration had returned all opposition leaders from the airport and they were not allowed to enter the state.
Rahul Gandhi attended several events earlier during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir in August. He also visited religious places and is scheduled to visit them this time as well.
