'PM Modi Gave Bharat Mata's Land To China,' Says Rahul Gandhi; Takes A Dig At 'Hand Wave' In Atal Tunnel

Addressing reporters, Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cares only about his image and only in order to keep his image intact, he has given away 1200 square Kilometres of India's land to China.

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a direct attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the India-China border dispute. Gandhi alleged that 1200 square km of India’s land has already been given to China by the Modi government, despite government’s ‘tall claims’ of PLA not occupying even an inch of Indian Territory. Do you know why China was able to take away a part of our land? It is because China knows that the person who is sitting at the top position, just cares about his image,” Rahul said. ‘PM keeps talking about Bharat Mata, but he gave away 1200 sq km of the same Bharat Mata just to protect his image,’ he said. PM Modi is scared of China and journalists alike, because he knows they can ruin his image and this is the reason why he never interacts with media. Taking a jibe at PM Modi’s over his recent hand wave inside a seemingly empty Atal Tunnel Gandhi said, ‘Tunnel me jayenge..akele jayenge..waving ho jayegi…” “He knows he has a monopoly on media and he will be shown  inside the tunnel..so all he is concerned about is his own image, rest he has nothing to do with whatever is happening in the country,” Rahul added. Prime Minister Modi’s famous ‘hand-wave’ in the empty tunnel had recently triggered a series of memes on Twitter. Rahul Gandhi, is holding a series of tractor rallies under his 'Kheti Bachao Yatra' in Punjab to protest the Centre's new farm laws. He also took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he has not spoken "a word" on the Hathras incident. Rahul Gandhi had  previously made an attack at PM Modi when he was not allowed to carry out his “padyatra” to Hathras by the Uttar Pradesh police last week. When police didn’t allow Gandhi to go to Hathras, he said that only Prime Minister Modi has got the rights to walk on the streets of the country. He also attacked the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday, saying Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should have the decency to call the alleged gang rape and killing of a Dalit woman in Hathras district a tragedy .
