New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, posters of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra were put up outside the Congress party headquarters in Delhi on Monday. The poster highlights one of the taglines from Congress’ media ad campaign Kattar Soch Nahi, Yuva Josh (Not bigotry but youthfulness) on the top and below it says, “Jan jan ki hai, yahi pukar Rahul ji-Priyanka ji abki baar.” Congress party workers from all state cadres have launched a massive launch and support campaign for Priyanka Gandhi. While workers in Varanasi brought out a poster appealing her to contest from Varanasi – PM Narendra Modi’s constituency, party workers from Gorakhpur urged her to contest from Gorakhpur. Priyanka was appointed as party’s general secretary for Eastern Uttar Pradesh by Rahul Gandhi last month and has been given charge of the party affairs in the region which is of utmost sifnificance for the grand old party given the fact that PM Modi's parliamentary constituency and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's stronghold Gorakhpur come under this region. Since her formal entry into politics, she has been showcased donning various avatars. Recently, she was portrayed as ‘Manikarnika’ by Congress party workers in Gorakhpur and the poster carries the slogan, "Chaaro taraf baj raha danka, Bahan Priyanka - Bahan Priyanka and "Desh ki ab yahi pukar, Congress aae abki baar." After assuming the new role she will attend the first official meeting of the Congress party on Thursday.
