Prashant Kishor Leaked Audio: Mamata's Poll Strategist Talks About PM Modi's Popularity In Bengal; Tweets Clarification Challenging BJP

Amit Malviya shared Prashant Kishor's clubhouse chat with journalists where he is heard stating the factors which are helping BJP in the state.

West Bengal Assembly elections: While the fourth phase of polling for the highly charged state elections is taking place, Mamata's poll strategist Prashant Kishor's leaked clubhouse audio chat has created a massive uproar and panic in Bengal.   Amit Malviya, head of the BJP IT cell, has released an audio of Prashant Kishor talking to renowned media journalists and discussing BJP's and PM Modi's performance in West Bengal.

In the leaked audio, a senior female journalist is heard asking that why is PM Modi so popular in West Bengal and what is drawing Bengal towards BJP?

Responding to the question Prashant Kishor said that there is no doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is popular in West Bengal and some people even feel that he is God. Prashant Kishor further responds to the anti-incumbency question asked by a senior male journalist and says that there is no anti-incumbency against BJP or the central government but there is some hatred for the ruling state government. Kishor further says that anti-incumbency against TMC is opening doors for BJP and PM Modi's popularity is also a big factor in this Bengal election.

Prashant Kishor further says that the people of Bengal want to give BJP a chance as they feel BJP will entirely change the state. People want to give a try to the untasted fruit which is basically helping the party.

Prashant Kishor listed 3 factors that are helping BJP strengthen itself in Bengal: Anger against Trinamool Congress, polarisation, anti-incumbency.

As soon as the audio chat was leaked, BJP leaders took to Twitter and started claiming that Prashant Kishor even claimed during that chat that BJP will win Bengal. However, The poll strategist himself issued a clarification about the clubhouse audio on Twitter and even took a jibe on the saffron party.

Prashant Kishor said in his tweet that he was glad to know that BJP is taking his chat more seriously than words of their own leaders but BJP has leaked only a selective part of the audio chat. Prashant Kishor further challenged BJP to release the complete chat as he claimed that the audio was in response to the questions that how will BJP gain 40% of votes in the ongoing West Bengal elections and why people are thinking that BJP will be winning in Bengal.

Prashant retracted the first tweet and posted another statement reiterating his earlier claim that BJP will not cross 100.
