The states to be part of the first virtual meeting will include Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

As per inputs, the Prime Minister will gradually interact with more officials by holding more of such meetings wherein NITI Aayog members are also likely to be present so that a comprehensive discussion regarding prevention of the Coronavirus spread can take place.

Meanwhile, according to sources, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to write to PM Modi opposing the decision. She is said to be against the move to skip Chief Ministers in this series of meetings by directly interacting with DMs.
