PM Modi To Visit Jharkhand On July 12, Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over Rs 16,000 Crore

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister would launch and lay the groundwork for different development projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crores in Deoghar.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand's Deoghar and Bihar's Patna on July 12, news agency ANI reported.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister would launch and lay the groundwork for different development projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crores in Deoghar.

“In a step towards boosting infrastructure development, enhancing connectivity and giving an impetus to ease of living in the region, Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth over Rs 16,000 crore in Deoghar. These projects will help in significantly improving socio-economic prosperity in the region,” the PMO's statement was quoted by ANI in its report. 

The Prime Minister will launch the Deoghar Airport as a critical step toward providing direct access to Baba Baidyanath Dham, an important holy destination for devotees from all across the country.

It is believed to have cost roughly Rs 400 crore to build. The airport's terminal structure can accommodate around 500,000 passengers per year.

“AIIMS in Deoghar is a boon for the healthcare sector of the entire region. The services at AIIMS Deoghar will get a further boost as the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the In-Patient Department (IPD) and Operation Theatre services at AIIMS, Deoghar. This is in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision to develop excellent health care facilities in all parts of the country,” it said.

The components of the project "Development of Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar," sanctioned under the PRASAD Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, will be inaugurated, adding to the Prime Minister's commitment to develop world-class infrastructure at places of religious importance across the country and improve tourist facilities in all such places.

The Prime Minister will also be inaugurating two huge pilgrimage assembly halls with a capacity of 2000 pilgrims each, as well as Jalsar lake front development and Shivganga Pond development, according to the PMO. The additional amenities would improve the tourism experience for the thousands of devotees that visit Baba Baidyanath Dham.

The Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for many road projects totaling more than Rs 10,000 crores.

“The projects that are being inaugurated include six laning of Gorhar to Barwada section of NH-2; widening of Rajganj-Chas upto West Bengal border section of NH-32 among others. The major projects whose foundation stone are being laid include four laning of Mirzachowki- Farakka section of NH-80; four laning of Hariharganj to Parwa More section of NH-98; four laning of Palma to Gumla section of NH-23; Elevated corridor of Kutchery Chowk to Piska More section of NH-75 among others,” it added.

These initiatives will improve connection in the region and make it easier for people to move around.

The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for many energy infrastructure projects worth Rs 3000 crore in the region.

The Bokaro-Angul portion of GAIL's Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline will be launched, as will HPCL's New LPG Bottling Plant at Barhi, Hazaribagh, and BPCL's Bokaro LPG Bottling Plant.

The foundation stone for the Parbatpur Gas Collecting Station, Jharia Block, and ONGC's Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Asset will also be placed.

The PM will dedicate to the country two railway projects: the Godda-Hansdiha Electrified Section and the Garhwa-Mahuria Doubling Project. These initiatives will aid in the smooth circulation of commodities for industry and powerhouses.

They will also make rail travel from Dumka to Asansol easier. The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for three railway projects: the redevelopment of Ranchi railway station, the Jasidih Bypass Line, and the LHB Coach Maintenance Depot, Godda.

The planned renovated Ranchi Station would have world-class passenger amenities such as a Food Court, Executive Lounge, Cafeteria, Air-Conditioned Waiting Halls, and so on to ensure passenger convenience and comfort.

Following that, the Prime Minister would do darshan and pooja at Baba Baidyanath temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Later that evening, PM Modi will address the concluding ceremony of the Bihar Legislative Assembly's Centenary celebrations in Patna.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate the Shatabdi Smriti Stambh, which was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha.

The Prime Minister will lay the Vidhan Sabha museum's foundation stone.

The museum's several exhibits will depict the history of democracy in Bihar as well as the growth of the existing civic system. It will also have a Conference Hall with seating for more than 250 people.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for the Vidhan Sabha guest house.
