PM Modi, Prez Murmu Extend Buddha Purnima Greetings: 'Lord Buddha Will Continue To Inspire Towards Peace'
PM Modi and President Murmu extended greetings on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, stressing how Lord Buddha's principles continue to inspire the community towards peace.

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended greetings on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, highlighting the message of equality, harmony, and social justice given by Lord Buddha.
Wishing citizens on Buddha Purnima, PM Modi stated in a post on X: "The message of Lord Buddha, based on the principles of truth, equality, and harmony, has always served as a guiding light for humanity."
"His life, devoted to sacrifice and meditation, will continue to inspire the global community towards compassion and peace," he added.

President Murmu also mentioned Lord Buddha's ideals of non-violence and social justice and how they "inspire us to live a life based on morality," as she wished for a peaceful and developed India.
"On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens and the followers of Lord Buddha all over the world," her post on X read.
"Let us adopt the ideals of Bhagwan Buddha in our lives and contribute in building a peaceful, harmonious, and developed Bharat," she said in her message.

Meanwhile, devotees thronged Varanasi to take a holy dip at the Dashashwamedh Ghat on Buddha Purnima.
