PDP-NC came together to form govt on 'instructions from Pakistan': Ram Madhav

The dissolution of JK Assembly was announced by Governor Satya Pal Malik in a communique released by the Raj Bhavan.

New Delhi: In a shocking statement, Bharatiya Janta Party general secretary Ram Madhav on Thursday claimed that PDP and National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir came together to ‘form a government’ after instructions from rival “Pakistan”. Speaking on the ongoing political ambush in the state, Madhav said “PDP and NC boycotted local body polls last month because they had instructions from across the border. Probably, they had fresh instructions from across the border to come together and form a government”.  He further added saying, “What they did prompted Governor to look into the whole issue”. This statement comes a day after the Jammu and Kashmir assembly was abruptly dissolved by the Governor on Wednesday night hours after the PDP staked claim to form a government with the backing of rival National Conference and the Congress, followed by another bid from the two-member People's Conference which claimed the support of the BJP and 18 legislators from other parties. The dissolution was announced by Governor Satya Pal Malik in a communique released by the Raj Bhavan. Soon after Madhav's statement came to light, former CM Omar Abdullah dared the BJP leader to prove his allegations. The collective strength of the three parties was 56, well above the required number of 44 for a majority in the 87-member assembly, Mehbooba, a former chief minister, said.
