'Parivar Bhakti' And 'Rashtra Bhakti': PM Modi Targets Opposition On BJP Foundation Day

PM Modi targetted the opposition parties on BJP Foundation Day and said that two kinds of politics are present in the country, one stands for 'parivar bhakti' & another for 'rashtra bhakti.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Bharatiya Janata Pary workers on party's 42nd foundation day. The Prime Minister listed the goals and achievements of the party and also lauded the efforts of the workers in the five-state assembly elections.

PM Modi extended best wishes to each and every member of the BJP across the world and said, ' From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Kutch to Kohima, BJP is continuously strengthening the resolve of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat."

PM Modi added, "This year's foundation day has become very important due to 3 reasons. First, we are celebrating 75 years of independence; this is a major occasion for inspiration. Second, rapidly changing global situation; new opportunities are coming up for India continuously and the third, BJP's double engine government came to power once again in 4 states recently. After 3 decades a party has touched the mark of 100 members in Rajya Sabha."

The Prime Minister said that BJP brought positive changes in the country after coming to power and people also welcomed the steps taken by the party as they "believe in progress with BJP". He added, "There was a time when people had accepted that be it a govt of any party, nothing will be done for the country. There was despair. Today, every citizen of the country is proudly saying that the nation is changing and going ahead swiftly."

Targetting the opposition parties, PM Modi said that discrimination and corruption were side effects of the vote bank politics practised by parties in power earlier but BJP challenged it and worked with devotion contributing to the nation's development.

He said that two kinds of politics are present in the country, one stands for 'parivar bhakti' & another for 'rashtra bhakti, and BJP believes in the latter as working for the upliftment of the poor, downtrodden, backward, women, are the core values of our party .

He further said, "Today, there is such an India before the world that stands firm for its interests without any fear or pressure. When the entire world is divided into two rival factions, India is being viewed as a nation that can firmly speak about humanity."

The Prime Minister said that parties that work only for the benefit of their families never allowed the youth of the country to grow but BJP is the only party that alerted the people of the country and challenged the culture. He said, "Some parties did only vote bank politics for decades. Making promises to only a few, keeping most of the people longing for things, bias and corruption was a side effect of vote bank politics. BJP not only challenged this but also succeeded in making people understand its harm."

PM Modi also spoke about the country's Covid vaccination drive and how BJP members worked for the people on the ground level after the pandemic hit the country. He said, "today, India has administered over 180 cr doses of #COVID19 vaccine. Today, the world is seeing that even in such a difficult situation, India is providing free ration to 80 crore poor. Centre is spending around Rs 3.5 Lakh Cr to see that the poor don't sleep on an empty stomach."
