Pakistan Govt calls emergency meet over Nawaz Sharif statement on 26/11; refute claims
Also, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Chief Imran Khan took on Sharif and stated that he is making pointless statements for personal gains. He also said that “Sharif is talking Modi’s language”.
New Delhi: A day after Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a statement revealed that Pakistan had an involvement in 26/11 attacks in Mumbai that killed 164 people and wounded 308; a panic situation has been created in the country.
Now, the Pakistani government has gone in a huddle over Sharif’s statement, which has tarnished Pakistan’s image further and has raised several questions. The Army has also called a high level meeting of National Security Council on Monday.
On the other hand, The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party has issued a statement dismissing all claims with regard to former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's remarks on 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, stating it has been 'grossly misinterpreted' by the Indian media.
The statement shared by Nawaz Sharif's daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, on Twitter read, "PML-N would like to set the record straight on the interview of PML-N Quaid carried yesterday by DAWN. At the outset, statement of the Quaid has been grossly misinterpreted by the Indian media."
Also, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Chief Imran Khan took on Sharif and stated that he is making pointless statements for personal gains. He also said that “Sharif is talking Modi’s language”. Khan also called him “Today’s Mir Zafar, who for personal gains, helped British in taming one’s own nation”. 26/11 terror attacks: On November 26, 2008; 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba (Islamic terrorists group) terrorists carried out a series of bombing attacks and shootings across Mumbai, which lasted four days.
