Pakistan Opens Fire Along LoC In J&K Amid Rising Tensions, Indian Army Retaliates
Pakistan Army initiated small arms firing at some places along the Line of Control on Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army on Friday retaliated to small arms firing initated by Pakistan Army at some places along the Line of Control on Jammu and Kashmir, said the officials. No casualties have been reported so far in the crossfire and further details are being ascertained, they added, reported ANI.
The firing incident comes amid increasing tensions between the two countries over the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
"There were incidents of small arm firing at some places on Line of Control initiated by Pakistan," reported PTI quoting a source. "The firing was effectively responded to," it added.
Simultaneously, an encounter broke out between security forces and ultras in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Friday.
Syed Ashfaq Gilani, a government official in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, told AFP that the troops on both sides exchanged fire along the LoC. "There was no firing on the civilian population," he added.
