Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu To Pay Tributes To Victims Of Pahalgam Terror Attack In Vizag

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu will pay tribute to Mouli who was among 26 civilians, many of them tourists, who tragically lost their lives in a terror strike at Pahalgam on Tuesday.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will pay homage to JS Chandra Mouli, one of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, upon the arrival of his mortal remains in Visakhapatnam late Wednesday evening.

Mouli was among the 26 civilians, many of them tourists, who tragically lost their lives in a brazen terror strike at the popular hill station of Pahalgam on Tuesday. His body is expected to arrive at Visakhapatnam Airport around 10 PM, where CM Naidu will be present to offer floral tributes and meet the grieving family members.

CM Naidu’s Travel Plans

Before arriving in Vizag, Naidu will first visit Ammanabrolu village in Bapatla district to console the family of Veeraiah Chowdary, a TDP worker who was reportedly murdered on Tuesday. Following the visit, the Chief Minister is scheduled to fly by helicopter to Gannavaram Airport and then proceed to Visakhapatnam.

This marks Naidu’s first public engagement in the state following a recent five-day European tour, after which he held a series of high-level meetings in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Solidarity with the Centre

Expressing deep sorrow over the Pahalgam attack, CM Naidu voiced unwavering support for the Union Government’s counter-terrorism efforts under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Acts of terror are a stain on society. History shows that terrorism and violence have never achieved anything meaningful for the causes they aim to promote. The Government of Andhra Pradesh stands in solidarity with the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji, and the Union Government in their commitment to safeguarding our nation's sovereignty and responding to terrorism with firm and decisive action," he said in a post on X.

He also emphasised that those responsible must face the severest punishment, calling such violent acts “a stain on society” and stressing that history has shown terrorism achieves nothing of lasting value.
