'Our Govt Committed To Poor & Marginalised': PM Modi At 'Griha Pravesham' Of 4.5 PMAY-G Beneficiaries

PM Modi At 'Griha Pravesham' Of PMAY-G Beneficiaries: He emphasised that over the last eight years, more than 3.5 crore poor families have received new houses through the scheme.

On the occasion of Dhanteras, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 'Griha Pravesham' of approximately 4.51 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) beneficiaries in Satna, Madhya Pradesh on October 22nd at 4 PM via video conferencing on Saturday.

While addressding the event, PM stated that,  "Our govt is committed to the poor and marginalised. Be it toilet, electricity, water or gas, we have included every facility to cater their needs in PM Awas Yojana: PM Modi," news Agency ANI reported.

He also emphasised that over the last eight years, more than 3.5 crore poor families have received new houses through the PMAY-G.

On the occasion of Dhanteras, The Prime Minister also extended his wishes to all the people of the nation.

"Dhanteras is marked with new beginnings. It is a new beginning for 4.5 Lakh beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh": PM Modi stated, ANI reported. 

"The Prime Minister has made a concerted effort to provide each citizen of the country with a home that includes all basic amenities. This is yet another step in the right direction. So far, approximately 38 lakh houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, with approximately 29 lakh houses completed at a cost of more than Rs. 35,000 Crore," as per an official statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

"The total expenditure for the construction of housing societies by the government has crossed a figure of ₹22,000 cr. We are dedicated to construct homes for all our countrymen," PM added further.
