On Indian Army's 'Yeti' trace claim, here is how Twitter is reacting
The photographs were taken near the Makalu base camp which is located in Nepal's Limbuwan Himalayan region.
Army sources claimed to IANS that the basis of going public with the finding was physical proofs of spot narration, photos and videos. They claimed that photographic evidences matched with earlier theories and the purpose to go public was to excite scientific temper and rekindle the interest. Army said "evidences have been photographed and handed over to subject matter experts. Idea is not to sit on judgement, which should be addressed in a scientific way." The creature, which is generally regarded as a legend since there is no solid proof of its existence, is an ape-like creature, much taller and bigger than an average human. It is covered in thick fur and is believed to inhabit the Himalayas, Siberia, Central and East Asia. The post shared by the Indian Army triggered garnered a lot of attention and curiosity on social media sites. Yeti became the top trend on Twitter with a flood of mocking and here are some of the reactions –For the first time, an #IndianArmy Moutaineering Expedition Team has sited Mysterious Footprints of mythical beast 'Yeti' measuring 32x15 inches close to Makalu Base Camp on 09 April 2019. With all due respect to everyone, what we call Yeti is with all probability either the Himalayan Brown Bear or Tibetean Blue Bear. Both are endangered, can grow over 7 feet and are bipedal. The single foot print forms when the bear walks on 4 feet.

Now that we actually may have tracked a #Yeti, did he vote? Does he have Aadhar? Does he speak Nepali or Hindi? Did I just assume his gender? Will he be offended?
