Odisha: Navin Patnaik's New Cabinet To Be Sworn-In Today After 23 Ministers Resign From Post
As per the ANI report, this is the first time in history that a whole cabinet stepped down at the same time in order to make space for new faces both younger and senior, ahead of polls.
New Delhi: The Odisha cabinet has resigned effective June 5 in view of the upcoming general and assembly elections of 2024. The new cabinet will be sworn in on June 5 itself at 11:45 am, news agency ANI reported. The swearing-in ceremony will take place in the new convention center of Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

According to ANI sources, some of the ministers who performed well in their portfolios will be given important responsibilities in the party for the elections. As many as 23 ministers resigned effective Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Naveen Patnaik government has completed its three years in the fifth consecutive term.

All Advisors/Chairpersons etc. of 23 different departments/Corporations/ Boards etc shall cease to be in office with effect from June 5th (Sunday), Planning & Convergence Department has issued an official notification, after the order passed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, read order by the state government.
