News Reports Of Indian Army Action In PoK Are Fake: DGMO

After reports of airstrikes on terror camps in PoK surfaced, the Indian army clarified that no firing was carried out today.

New Delhi: Indian Army Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh on Thursday clarified that the Indian Army has not conducted any action in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. ALSO READ | Delhi: 'Rs 2000 Fine On Not Wearing A Mask At A Public Places,' Says Kejriwal Amid Covid Surge "Reports of the Indian Army's action in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) across the Line of Control are fake," Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh told ANI. The DGMO's clarification came in after a news report widely shared stated that the Indian Army had carried out precision strikes against terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation to Pakistan's attempts to disturb peace in India. There seems to have been confusion with respect to the timelines as no strikes were conducted today but sources perhaps informed news agency PTI about the action taken by the army on November 13.
