No Change In Pranab Mukherjee's Medical Condition, Continues To Be On Ventilator Support

Former President Pranab Mukherjee, who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) too, underwent an emergency surgery for a brain clot on August 10.

The medical condition of former President Pranab Mukherjee remained unchanged on Sunday and he continued to be on ventilator support, doctors attending to him said in a medical statement. "There is no change in the condition of Shri Pranab Mukherjee. His vital and clinical parameters are stable and he continues to be on ventilator support. The health condition of the former President, who also has multiple old comorbidities, is being closely monitored by a team of specialists," the statement read.

Mukherjee, who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) too, underwent an emergency surgery for a brain clot on August 10.

The 84-year-old was admitted to hospital in a critical condition and underwent a life-saving brain surgery and his health worsened later.

On August 10, Mukherjee had stated that he has tested positive for Covid-19. "On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID19 today. I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self-isolate and get tested for Covid-19," he tweeted.
