'Degree Wali Desh Beche': Nishikant Dubey's Fresh Salvo At Mahua Moitra In Cash-For-Query Case

It has been alleged that TMC MP Mahua Moitra took bribes from industrialist Darshan Hiranandani in exchange for questions against Adani in Parliament.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey launched a fresh attack on Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra after alleging her of taking bribes to ask questions against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani in the Parliament. Dubey asked whether Moitra’s MP login was opened in Dubai and if questions were asked in Parliament in exchange for a bribe.

“The question is about the dignity of Parliament, security of India and the proprietary, corruption and criminality of the alleged MP,” Dubey said in a post on X on Wednesday.

“The answer has to be given whether NIC mail was accessed from Dubai? Whether she asked questions in exchange for a bribe. Who bore the expenses of her foreign trips? Did she ever take the permission of the Lok Sabha Speaker or the MEA to go abroad,” he added.

“The question is not about Adani, degree or theft, but about your corruption by misleading the country,” Dubey said further.

The BJP MP has accused Moitra of accepting bribes and favours in from industrialist Darshan Hiranandani in exchange for questions against Adani in Parliament. Earlier, Dubey had written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this regard.

NIC Will Extend 'Full Cooperation'

Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday said the National Informatics Centre (NIC) will extend "full cooperation" to the Parliament's Ethics Committee's investigation into the allegations.

In a letter dated October 15, Dubey had urged Vaishnaw

to take the allegations against her with "utmost seriousness", investigate the IP addresses of Moitra's log-in credentials for her Lok Sabha account and whether there were any instances in which her account was accessed from a location where she was not present.

Replying to Dubey, the IT minister said the issues raised by him are of grave importance.

"National Informatics Centre acts as a service provider on the instructions of organisations availing services from NIC. As a service provider, NIC is instrumental in providing IT services to various organisations of the government of India," he said.
