New Delhi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids in Varanasi and Delhi, and arrested a highly radicalised operative Basit Kalam Siddiqui in ISIS ‘Voice of Hind’ module case, news agency ANI reported.

The conspiracy case was hatched by ISIS operatives in Syria to radicalise Indian youth via internet.

Earlier on Tuesday, the investigation agency conducted searches at three locations in Patna in connection to a case related to a “self-radicalised” individual propagating a terror module ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’.

It is to be noted that Ghazwa-e-Hind is an offshoot of banned global terror outfit Al-Qaida.

According to a NIA spokesperson, the case was initially registered at Phulwarisharif police station on July 14 and re-registered by NIA on July 22.

During the searches carried out on the premises of the accused and the other suspected persons, incriminating materials, including digital devices and documents, were seized. The NIA further said that during investigations, it was found that Danish was a self-radicalised individual and he was in contact with a number of foreign entities via a WhatsApp group called “Ghazwa-e-Hind”.

In this group, acts of terrorism and activities in Kashmir were being glorified with the view to radicalise impressionable youth. He also created another WhatsApp group in the name of Ghazwa-e-Hind BD and was propagating violence in India, NIA said.
