National Herald Case: 'Not Scared Of Narendra Modi', Says Rahul Gandhi On Raids By ED
On Wednesday, the ED had sealed the office space of Young Indian (YI) company while the rest of the National Herald building was open and functioned as usual.
A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) temporarily sealed the office space of Young Indian (YI) company in the premises of Congress-owned newspaper National Herald in Delhi related to the money laundering case, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while speaking to the media Thursday said he "Won't be intimidated" by such moves and is "not scared of Narendra Modi".
"You are talking about National Herald, it's an intimidation attempt. They think they will be able to silence us with a little pressure...We won't be intimidated. We are not scared of Narendra Modi. They can do whatever they want," said the congress leader while replying to a question by the media in Delhi, reported news agency ANI.

On Wednesday, the ED had sealed the office space of Young Indian (YI) company while the rest of the National Herald building was open and functioned as usual.
According to PTI, the ED team had emailed summons to senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge - principal officer/in-charge of YI - seeking their attendance to open the cabins for it to carry out raids but no response was received.
Kharge, had visited the Herald House building on Tuesday evening along with party colleague Pawan Bansal but he left and the search could not be conducted on the day, the PTI report added.
ED Questioning Of Rahul, Sonia
Congress president Sonia Gandhi was questioned by ED last month by the probe agency in the money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper.
The Congress chief had been summoned for interrogation on three separate days - July 21, 26 and July 27. During questioning the Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli was asked about the functioning and running of the newspaper and the role of its various office bearers, reported ANI.
Last month, the ED also questioned Rahul Gandhi for five days in the money laundering case.
