Mumbai: Congress puts up posters of Rahul hugging Modi ahead of Amit Shah's visit
Ahead of BJP Chief Amit Shah’s visit to Mumbai, Congress put up posters at several places with the image of Rahul Gandhi hugging PM Modi and the tagline “Nafrat se nahi, Pyar se jeetenge’’ (we will win by love, not hatred).
New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi’s little act of hugging PM Narendra Modi after his Speech in Lok Sabha during the no-confidence motion on Saturday, that had set the internet on fire, is now being brought into play by the Congress for its advert.
The tagline is a reminder of Rahul Gandhi’s lines before he walked up to PM Modi’s seat in the house to hug him. Rahul looked at PM Modi and had said: “You may call me Pappu, and abuse me the way you want, but I do not have a fleck of hatred against you.”
“He said I will take pout this hatred out of you and turn it into love and turn it into love. I am the Congress”, he reiterated. He said “You taught me what it means to be a Hindustani, what it means to be a Hindu. It means to love somebody even if they attack you."
Gandhi then strode across the hall and hugged the PM startling him for a second. PM then called Rahul back and patted his back.
