Mohit Anand Of Kellogg’s Reflects On The Human Side Of Business At ABP News’ E-Conclave

Speaking at the conclave, Mr. Mohit Anand said, “When we started our Kellogg’s Care Program, we prioritized four aspects of health to ensure the overall well-being of our employees.

On ABP News’ India vs Corona 2.0 e-Conclave, Mr. Mohit Anand (MD India & South Asia, Kellogg’s) put a spotlight on the ‘human face’ of corporate India – highlighting the changes made by Indian businesses and entrepreneurs to make workplaces more collaborative and empathetic.

According to him, right now, it’s ‘People v/s Profit’. He is of the belief that COVID-19 will come and go, but it’s crucial to invest in people. “Everyone is experiencing high levels of mental stress right now. And we do not want to increase the stress for our employees, instead we want to ameliorate their mental health,” He said.

ABP News initiated this special conclave to understand the impact of COVID-19 on different sectors and communities. Through a series of conversations with the people who are leading the fight against Covid-19, this edition of India vs Corona e-Conclave looked at how businesses and industries are responding to the crisis, with compassion and innovation.

Speaking on the conclave, Mr. Mohit Anand said, “When we started our Kellogg’s Care Program, we prioritized four aspects of health to ensure overall well-being of our employees - Mental health, Social health, Physical health, and financial health. Safety & sanitation norms were extremely crucial at the beginning, so we brought global standards of safety and sanitization to our factories. We leveraged technology for contact-tracing, to help stop the spread.”

“From a business perspective, we noted the increasing consumer consciousness for healthy food. Keeping that in mind, we launched Upma and two Protein Energy Bars for our customers during the lockdown period, which was quite an achievement for us.” He added.

Apart from this, the conclave delved into various pertinent themes like ‘Tackling Adversity With Innovation’ which involved conversations around business strategies adopted by companies to tackle the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on their organization, as well as the larger society. Various leaders threw light on how companies are lending a helping hand to the society through their CSR initiatives.
